Overview
Epiphany School's Mission:
Through innovative teaching in a caring and traditional environment, Epiphany School challenges every child to be a confident, curious, and courageous learner.
Epiphany School's Values Statement:
Epiphany School actively cultivates an awareness and respect for diversity in all forms; we strive to be an inclusive community by embracing the following values:
Respect: We encourage empathy through the strength of our differences, awareness of our global surroundings, and adherence to high standards of conduct.
Responsibility: We build integrity and trust by understanding our choices and owning our actions.
Resourcefulness: We foster resilience and expect all to search and find, to fail and learn, to risk and succeed in a changing world.
The Epiphany School Community:
The Epiphany School “family” is a richly diverse group that strives for inclusion of new families and rejoices in the gifts that diversity brings to the School. The School celebrates the collaboration of school and home through its unique Sibling Policy that gives the School a very high percentage of siblings enrolled. This family atmosphere is reflected throughout the life of the School.
Parents will find a number of ways to help in their child’s education including going on field and overnight trips, working on the School auction, being a classroom volunteer and participating in the Annual Fund. Children learn best when their parents are actively and eagerly involved in the School and their children see their leadership and commitment.
Campus Setting:
Epiphany School is an urban school that shares a lovely campus with the Epiphany Church in a residential setting. The School is housed in six separate buildings that include, in addition to the classrooms, a library, a music room, a gymnasium, an art studio, a learning skills center and a large assembly space. Starting with Pre-Kindergarten, Epiphany students learn to navigate the various campus buildings. In addition, Epiphany has three large outdoor play spaces, each with age-appropriate play equipment. There are three recesses when all of our students enjoy playing with a variety of age groups. The campus allows students to have an ever-increasing sense of responsibility and freedom though never too far from the watchful eyes of an adult.
