Epiphany School

Overview

At Epiphany School, a student’s family is a crucial part of each child’s educational experience, and the partnership between the School and students’ families is a hallmark of the school culture. Epiphany School welcomes and encourages the participation of families in school life, and asks that they actively support the School’s Mission and Values Statements.

Epiphany seeks to keep Current Parents well-informed about the daily life of the School through publishing the Weekly Sunshine each Wednesday and through a detailed school Calendar outlining the special activities and experiences in which Epiphany students will participate during the school year. Current Parents have the opportunity throughout the year to volunteer in their child’s classroom, to chaperone a field trip, or to participate in an Epiphany Parents Association event or fundraiser.

The Epiphany Parents Association (EPA) is the parent organization of which every family is an automatic member. The EPA serves to support the School by planning and organizing educational and informational programs, assisting with fundraising for the School, promoting and coordinating social activities for students and their families, and encouraging communication between school administration and faculty, and students’ families. All Current Parents are welcomed at EPA meetings.

An important way in which Current Families are asked to support the Mission and Values of Epiphany School is through participation in efforts to Support Epiphany with philanthropic contributions to the School. The Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising effort in which all Current Families—parents and grandparents in particular—are asked to demonstrate their support for the extraordinary work of the School and, most particularly, the Faculty and Staff.

We invite you to read the Position Paper on Diversity, prepared by the Mission Effectiveness Task Force, and approved by the Board of Trustees on February 12, 2008.

Through innovative teaching in a caring and traditional environment, Epiphany School challenges every child to be a confident, curious, and courageous learner.
