Capital Campaign
A Capital Campaign consists of single-, multi-year, or planned (estate) gifts given in addition to Annual Giving and is designated to support specific goals, programs, and projects identified by the Board of Trustees in the school’s Strategic Plan.
As of September 2008, Epiphany School donors have contributed over $2.5 million toward Phase II of Building the Future.
Above and beyond Epiphany’s need for yearly operating support is its need to plan and provide for the School’s long-term health. The School’s operating budget does not address the necessity for significant facility improvements or increased endowment. These needs must be met by those members of the community who can make a capital gift in addition to their Annual Fund contribution.
At Epiphany School, capital campaigns have been conducted to build the Sander-Alvord Gymnasium and to acquire and renovate Reed Hall, Augustine Hall, and Spock Hall. Without these significant fundraising efforts of the past, current students would not enjoy the facilities Epiphany now has.
The School is now in the midst of the Building the Future Capital Campaign. In 2003, the School embarked on Phase I of the Campaign, to which donors contributed over $7 million used to acquire and renovate property adjacent to Epiphany’s campus. In the spring of 2008, the School launched Phase II, seeking an additional $17 million to augment the campus through new building construction on the property acquired in Phase I, renovation of existing spaces, and landscaping design and enhancement. Once campus expansion costs are met, additional campaign revenue will be used to materially increade the School's endowment. As of September 2008, Epiphany School donors have contributed over $2.5 million toward Phase II of Building the Future.
